Eastmond works extensively in education and youth music, specialising in ensemble work.

He formed and leads the Jewish Music Institute Youth Big Band, their four recordings, albums Alef, (2020) Bet (2021), and the EPs Maoz Tzur (2020), and Stronger Together (2018) are available on Bandcamp.

​

He has worked as a guest conductor across NYJO’s programmes and projects. Devised and conducts Ealing Music Service’s Jazz Ensemble programme, (Ealing Youth Jazz Orchestra, and Ealing Youth Big Band), has been commissioned by Hounslow Music service to compose for the National Youth Brass Band Championship, and gala performances at the Southbank, and delivers workshops, performances, and works with youth music ensembles across London.
